Introduction to Industry Plant
a Fan-powered Decentralized Music Label and Publisher
tl;dr? Skip to Industry Plant Infographics.
What is Industry Plant?
Industry Plant is a decentralized finance (DeFi) NFT music label and publisher that aims to help make music a commodity and enables users to own a piece of their artist's royalties and publishing. DeFi applications are unique in the sense that they are permissionless and trustless, meaning that anyone with a supported wallet can interact with them without a trusted middleman. Industry Plant caters to fans, influencers, A&R's, etc. by making it easy to get yield on the songs that you support. Through a set of smart contracts and several investment strategies Industry Plant automatically maximizes the users rewards from various ISO's, liquidity pools, automated market making (AMM) projects, and other yield-faming opportunities in the DeFi ecosystem. Vaults specifically to user by making it easy to get liquidity and a yielded return on their ownership in a safe and decentralized manner.
The project consists of an semi-anonymous team (the OG's know one another in real life), directly inspired by the yield optimization projects that had been developed on the Ethereum network. As a team that has been part of the crypto world for many years, we are strong proponents of “Don't Trust, Verify”. This is why data such as our governance token distribution contracts are open for anyone to verify that everything will work as intended. We are committed to the idea of radical transparency within the music industry, which is especially important in nascent ecosystems like Decentralized Finance.
Industry Plant offers complex strategies that are simple and intuitive for any investor to take part in through the isoVault offerings on the platform. The first isoVault went live on [insert date] on the Ethereum blockchain, making Industry Plant the first fan-powered NFT music label and publisher.
From all of the isoVaults deployed, Industry Plant has its native governance token $SEED at its core. Platform revenue is generated from a small percentage of all the isoVault profits and distributed back to those who stake $SEED. As a decentralized project with a deeply ingrained crypto-mindset, there is also a robust governance system in place to put the decision-making power in the hands of those invested in the project by governance mechanisms build around $SEED.
What makes Industry Plant unique?
There are a few reasons as to why Industry Plant differs from the current music industry model.
Industry Plant largely distributes platform revenue back to those who stake $SEED. With $SEED, you essentially hold a 'dividend-eligible' 'company' share.
Industry Plant has some the most talented smart-contract developers who carefully test and review our isoVaults, investment strategies, new partnership viability, and smart contracts before releasing them to the public. Industry Plant is also actively encouraging developers to participate and engage to make Industry Plant an even better product.
Industry Plant gives the power back to the fans who support and listen to the songs made by the artists rather labels and institutions. At Industry Plant, your fans are your distribution army.
Given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow. The more widely available the source code is for public testing, scrutiny, and experimentation, the more rapidly all forms of bugs will be discovered. This is a key Industry Plant principle.
Industry Plant offers unique strategies that other music labels and distributors simply do not have. This includes the liquidity pool pairs the you can only find on the Industry Plant platform. Industry Plant DAO
The isoVaults for yield optimization boast the large APYs that outperform every single music label and distributor.
Industry Plant is supported partner of Metamask.
Plant Your Seeds, Earn Rewards!
We are a team of developers that want to nourish the long term music DeFi ecosystem and make it easier for everyone to participate within it. The yield optimization projects created by yearn.finance, Andre Cronje and the YFI community have quickly inspired many others. We're also huge fans of https://www.beefy.finance/ and what their team has been able to accomplish being completely chain agnostic. This is an excellent development that is helping to grow and secure the Ethereum ecosystem. However, in recognizing the fundamental properties of other chains, opportunities for significantly different approaches are apparent.
How to Optimize Yield On A Fast Chain 🎯
Yield optimizers on fast blockchains, such as Polygon, present a different set of problems, challenges and opportunities. While on Ethereum, where gas fees are high, it makes sense to focus on gas savings, and pooling funds to deploy strategies. Working on the Polygon, where the fees are far smaller, the focus moves to optimizing automation to secure the greatest yields with less concern for the amount of interactions necessary to constantly improve a moving APY. The doors open up to more complex strategies and frequent rebalances.
With this automatization, we can provide a simple way for investors to interact with ISOs, liquidity pools, projects, and other yield opportunities without having to constantly make decisions and take manual actions. We see this as a necessary step to leveling the playing field, allowing small investors to have access to the same opportunities that so far only whales and full-time yield-farmers on Ethereum have had access to.
Building within Polygons open ecosystem, with its connection to the Ethereum infrastructure, removes far more constraints than just high fees. Our goal is to lead a phase of open experimentation that will bring yummy stakes to your table.
Our long term goal is to help projects in music DeFi grow together, providing help with auditing, creating hackathons for interesting strategies to add to the platform, etc. All of this will be coordinated decentralized by the community and the holders of the governance token $SEED.
We have to break the music industry to fix it 🎯
The modern day music industry is act liks a modern day caste system whcih allows a few creatives to prosper and many to be impoverished which in turn creates discord among the creatives as people impart desparate means in order to satisfy their creative needs ie not paying producers, royalties , managers etc.
If creatives were given the opportunity to have abundance rather than waiting for payments from labels [the float] no wonder musicians are living paycheck to paycheck. We live in a digital world and the music industry is analog.
The immediate accumulation of wealth for creatives in a digital world could be used for experimenting and innovation within their art.
Our movement will be a forced to be reckoned with as our hoarde of of fans will advance and overtake the throne once held by the labels and publishers. In the future there will be no more publishers and no more rtoaylties as creatives will be paid immediately after the stream for their work via smart contracts on decentralized DSP mesh-networks. Your ownership in a particular song can then be easily traded or sold to the highest bidder and as the fan who helped build the artist you will participate in the upside, not the label.
Our goal with this experiment is to expose how slow and corrupt the music industry it and we will provide complete open communication. None shall be silenced!
We become the most lethal hip hop community since Death Row Records. We will own all the sides of the business and leave nothing for the labels.
We will create the future of music with the total destruction of the current model/paradigm.
Fans are the best form of distribution
The music industry on blockchains, such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom, etc. present a different set of problems, challenges and opportunities.
Our long term goal is to build the world's first decentralized music label and publisher where an army of music fans, A&R's, influencers, artists, producers, songwriters, managers, designers, music video directors, investors. Think r/wallstreetbets for Gamestop rallying around your favorite artist? All of this will be coordinated by the community and the holders of the governance token $SEED.
How creatives can take back there power in the music industry
Creatives take their power back by enabling those who support their work the most participate in the upside of their careers.
